For a quick estimate based on historical costs from past jobs, utilize
Quickest estimating. This system relies on an enhanced 'square foot'
method of cost breakdown. It is very easy to implement and can generate
an estimate in literally a few minutes.
This approach is more accurate and sophisticated than simply breaking
down each cost by square feet of living area. For example, blown insulation
should be based on square feet of living area, whereas plans and framing
lumber should be based on total area under roof.
The system works by comparing costs for up to three completed jobs
and using them to project the cost for a new job.
